<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device able to perform stable image formation, in matching with the operating environment. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a housing 17 filled with developer; a developing roller 19, disposed rotatably in the housing 17 and used to supply developer to the surface of the image carrier 9; a spiral 20 used to supply developer in the housing 17 to the developing roller 19; an electromagnet 22, that forcibly holds the developer in the housing 17 by magnetic force and brings the held developer into contact with the developer supplied to the developing roller 19 from the spiral 20; and a control circuit 25 which, according to the timing of image formation, adjusts the magnetic force generated by the electromagnet 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
