The method involves determining an error prone clock phase/sampling time point by formation of a discrete cross correlation function of a synchronization sequence with a sampling sequence of received data during an operation of a radio receiver. The determined sampling time point is used for demodulating the data following the synchronization sequence. A determining factor is withdrawn according to influence-relevant adjacent symbols for a combination of lists. The sampling time point is shifted to the negative amount of the determining factor.
