<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein when electrical conduit becomes proper again, after external force, and the like, generated by external impacts are applied to a coupling member, between a circuit board and another circuit board resulted in poor electrical connection, because the supply from an power source becomes scarce to a liquid-crystal drive circuit, abnormalities, such as garbled characters, arise in a display of liquid crystal indicating element, resulting from existence of display data not intended in the liquid crystal drive circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic timepiece which includes: a liquid crystal indicating element; a liquid crystal drive circuit for driving the liquid crystal indicating element; a control circuit for outputting display data displayed on the liquid crystal indicating element and initialization signal initializing the liquid crystal drive circuit to the liquid crystal drive circuit; a timekeeping circuit timekeeping the clock time. The control circuit implements initialization operation for initializing the liquid crystal drive circuit, by outputting initialization signal to the liquid crystal drive circuit, when display data is output to the liquid crystal drive circuit, in order to change indication content of the liquid crystal indicating element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
