<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compatible an effect that an air stream for floating a sheet material is not obstructed and an effect that information regarding a movement amount of the sheet material is detected. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A detection roll 80 contacts with the sheet material at the uppermost position loaded on a paper feed cassette 22 and is rotated by the movement (displacement) of the sheet material fed out by a feeding out member 24. An air jetting device 90 is made detachable from an image forming device body 12 and jets air to the sheet material applied with a load from an upper side by the feeding out member 24 and a rear end loading part 86 and loaded on the paper feed cassette 22 toward a space between the feeding out member 24 and the rear end loading part 86. The detection part 84 and the rear end loading part 86 are formed so that the air jetting device is located outside a flow passage of air jetted out by the air jetting device 90 in order not to obstruct the air stream generated by the air jetting device 90.
