PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand for apparatus of simple structure which can be carried easily when it is not used as a stand, and can be used easily as a stand. SOLUTION: The stand 1 for apparatus consists of an elastic body having a planar shape extending to the right and left and bending elastically at least in the central portion when a force is applied in the direction for bringing the right and left sides close to each other and notches 1A and 1B are provided, respectively, on the right and left sides of the stand 1 for apparatus. When the bottom edge of an organic EL-TV 10, i.e. an apparatus to be supported, is inserted in a state where the stand 1 for apparatus is bent, the organic EL-TV 10 is maintained in standing state by supporting the bottom edge thereof.
