PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device for illuminating a guide panel with a light source internally equipped in a shift knob. SOLUTION: An illuminant (for example, LED21) with directivity is internally equipped in a shift knob 4, and the light 28 is irradiated downward. Translucency of an upper side hemisphere 8 of the shift knob 4 is reduced, and half mirror processing is applied to an outer surface of a lower side hemisphere 9. When the light source 5 is off, the light source 5 internally equipped in the shift knob 4 is hardly visible.
