<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photograph seal generator and an image composition device, capable of composing easily and precisely a face image of a user with a composing background image, without requiring a wide imaging space. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This photograph seal generator includes an imaging means for imaging a prescribed range, a subject image extracting means for extracting a subject image from an image picked up by the imaging means, a selection means for selecting the composing background image serving as a background of the subject image, an image composing means for generating a composition image composed with the composing background image selected by the selection means and the subject image, and an output means for printing the composition image onto a seal paper sheet to be output. The photograph seal generator is provided further with a face positioning means for defining a position of a face of the user serving as a subject, and the subject image extracting means extracts a portion positioned in an upper side of the lowest position of the face of the user defined by the face positioning means, as the subject image, out of an image with the background image removed from the image picked up by the imaging means.
