<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing expanded polypropylene resin particles which can give an in-mold expanded molding of a low shrinkage, and in particular to provide a method for producing expanded polypropylene resin particles which can give a low-shrinkage in-mold expanded molding even at an expansion ratio as high as above 30 times. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing expanded polypropylene resin particles comprising further expanding expanded polypropylene resin particles obtained from a polypropylene resin having a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 100,000 or higher in terms of polystyrene and a melt flow rate (MFR) of 1 g/10 min or higher and satisfying the following formula (1): MFR (g/10 min)≤16-2.5×10<SP>-5</SP>Mw (wherein Mw is the weight-average molecular weight of the polypropylene resin in terms of polystyrene).
