<p>The heater plug has housing and a glow plug (13) which is fixed in a longitudinal bore of the housing. The glow pin has a glow tube (14) which is locked at combustion chamber lateral end (15). A resistance element (17) as a heating unit is embedded into an insulating material in the interior of the glow tube and extends in axial direction. The resistance element is provided with a connecting unit (19) for an electrical circuit. The resistance element has a junction which forms a safety fuse for the electrical circuit.</p> |
