PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search a route of an inexpensive charge with a toll road taken into account, without using a concrete list of charges for the toll road. SOLUTION: For example, a navigation apparatus has a storage device for storing a link data including classifications or names of roads about the toll roads in a link constituting the roads on a map, and executes a route searching step for searching the route of the minimum cost from a start point to a destination, using the link data. The route searching step sets a cost of the link belonging to the toll road higher than that of other link, when the link is the next link of a change point in the classifications or names of the roads.
