The installation for measuring the section of an insulated wire comprises a metal melting generator (1), a glass tube (6), a metal carcass (3), on which it is reeled the wire, a bobbin (13) with standard wire, a reference signal source (12), a metal carcass rotation mechanism (5), an operational amplifier (8) with inverting (-) and noninverting (+) inputs embraced by a negative inverse network, consisting of two equal resistors (10) and (11), a signal indicator (20) and a casting process control unit (21).
