<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of requiring much time for reading a source because the reading process is complicated. <P>SOLUTION: An image reading device includes a tag information reading unit for reading information recorded in an IC tag by performing radio communication with the IC tag attached or embedded at a predetermined position of a medium that becomes a target of image reading, and an image reading unit for creating image data of an image recorded on the medium by scanning the medium.
