<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a defective nozzle without stopping the operation of a mounting device. <P>SOLUTION: A nozzle recovery device 9 mounted on the mounting device with compatibility with a tape feeder has its tip portion positioned in an operation area of the mounting device 1 and its rear end portion positioned outside the operation area when mounted on the mounting device 1. A nozzle recovery stocker 12 moves reciprocally by a belt driving device 13 between inside and outside the operation area to carry a nozzle 4 recovered from a mounting head in the operation area out of the operation area.
