<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is hard to ensure durability of lubricity in manufacturing therapeutic guide wires or the like though various methods to make a film thickness of a coating resin layer thin are considered until now, and to provide a medical instrument which has new features and shows excellent durability of lubricity by developing a new manufacturing method to directly coat a metallic base material with a hydrophilic compound. <P>SOLUTION: A surface of the metallic base material constituting the medical instrument is treated with ozone gas, and the specific hydrophilic compound is chemically immobilized on the surface of a metal after introducing a functional group to the surface of the metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
