摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device allowing pixels to be further miniaturized while keeping a high condensing rate, and high in response speed. SOLUTION: This transmission type magnetooptical imaging device 1 is provided with: a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged pixels 4; a pixel selection device 10 selecting one or more pixels 4; an emission polarization filter 82 transmitting light having permeated the selected pixel(s) 4; a photoelectric conversion part 91 converting the light having permeated the emission polarization filter 82 to charge; and a charge storage part storing the charge. The pixel 4 is provided with a magnetooptical element 5 transmitting incident light by changing its polarization direction, and the magnetooptical element 5 in the selected pixel 4 changes the polarization direction of the incident light to a specific direction. A lower electrode 2 and an upper electrode 3 stacked by sandwiching the magnetooptical element 5 therebetween and supplying current to the magnetooptical element 5 are provided with metal electrodes 2a and 3a with holes acting as optical paths in the pixel 4 formed in regions overlapping the magnetooptical element 5 in a plan view, and transparent electrodes 2c and 3c arranged in the holes, respectively.
