PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge stably holding a leader member when not used. SOLUTION: The recording tape cartridge 10 is provided with: a case 12 composed of an upper case 14 and a lower case 16 and singly housing a reel 20 on which a recording tape T is wound; a leader member 30 fitted to the end of the recording tape T and having flange parts 36 formed at both ends; an opening 18 formed in the case 12 for drawing out the leader member 30; a holding part 38 formed at the upper case 14 and the lower case 16 and holding the flange parts 36 of the leader member 30 in the vicinity of the opening 18; and an elastic presser member 100 which is provided at the case 12 and presses the side surfaces 36C of the flange parts 36 of the leader member 30. At the base part 102 of the elastic presser member 100 which is not to be brought into contact with the side surfaces 36C of the flange parts 36 of the leader member 30, a projecting part 108 to be inserted between the upper case 14 and the lower case 16 is formed.
