PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a resin coated granular fertilizer which gives a simple treatment operation for coating, suppression to the initial elution of fertilizer components, controlled elution of fertilizer components and long duration of ferlilizer effect. SOLUTION: The method of producing a resin coated granular fertilizer includes: coating and adding a mineral oil, which is in a liquid state at a room temperature, to the surface of the granular fertilizer having the water absorption rate of at least 0.003 g-water/g-fertilizer at a room temperature by using a rolling type coating device to set the water absorption rate to less than 0.003 g-water/g-fertilizer; and then coating the surface with a resin coating material.
