PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To similarly correct processing algorithm or the like so that the quality of images of a surface image and the quality of a rear side image which are simultaneously read by a simple means coincide with each other. SOLUTION: An image processor on which a mechanism for simultaneously reading both sides of a color original is mounted is provided with a first memory unit 105 for storing a surface image, a second memory unit 106 for storing a rear side image, an image comparator 108 for reading out image data at a plurality of specified positions on the surface image and the rear side image stored by the memory means to compare them and an image correcting unit 109 for correcting based on the comparison result of the image comparator 108, whereby the quality of the read rear side image coincides with the quality of the read surface image.
