PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect dispensing abnormality without wastefully consuming a specimen or a reagent and to properly specify a trouble place. SOLUTION: A dispensing abnormality detecting part 161 calculates the liquid amount in a reaction container C from the liquid surface of the reaction container C after a first reagent detected by the liquid surface detecting signals from liquid surface detectors 20-4-6 is dispensed after the specimen is dispensed and after a second reagent is dispensed to detect the occurrence of dispensing abnormality on the basis of the liquid amount. A trouble specifying part 163 performs the trouble specifying processing corresponding to whether the liquid amount in the reaction container C is more than or less than a predetermined amount in a case that the occurrence of the dispensing abnormality is detected by the dispensing abnormality detecting part 161 to specify the trouble place.
