PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handling performance in welding a gland to a housing component. SOLUTION: A sensor assembly consists of: a metallic pressure sensor cap welded to the tubular gland integrally formed with a sealing edge at one end opposite to the pressure sensor cap side; the housing component having an opening formed to allow the gland to pass through; and a gland nut rotatably supported on a projecting portion of the gland to attach the sealing edge to a process port. A stepped portion of the sensor cap is welded to a stepped portion of the gland, and the housing component is fixed to the outer surface of the gland in a position between the sensor cap and the sealing edge. The sensor cap has an outer diameter smaller than or equal to the outer diameter of the gland so that the sensor cap welded to the gland beforehand can be fitted into the opening of the housing component.
