<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attachably and detachably assemble a belt unit and a process cartridge in an apparatus body frame, with a new configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A clamping part 15 is provided to the side of a driven roller 12B of the belt unit 10 and a holding mechanism 16 for holding the position of the belt unit 10 with respect to the apparatus body frame 1B is provided to the clamping part 15.
