A roof assembly apparatus of a vehicle assembly line is provided to assemble roof panels of vehicles of various kinds in a roof assembly space about a vehicle body in which a floor panel and both side panels are welded. A roof assembly apparatus of a vehicle assembly line is composed of a trolley(10), a robot carriage unit(30), a hanger storage(50), an alignment jig(70), and a position decision unit(90). The trolley moves to the inside of a working space of the roof assembly process at the state loading a vehicle body. The robot carriage unit is comprised to move a handling robot(31) in the upper par of the working space, and includes a rail frame(33) and a vertical frame(35). The handling robot is movably installed in the rail frame. The vertical frame supports the rail frame with the bottom of the working space. The hanger storage is comprised in the working range of the handling robot. The hanger storage is comprised in working space loading a roof hanger(60) attached/detached to/from the handling robot. A position decision unit is perpendicularly installed at both sides of the trolley.
