PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the imaging device capable of intelligibly presenting the tracking conditions of an object to a user, in an easy to understand manner. SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises a tracking processing portion for tracking an object to be followed in a frame image column, based on the output signal of an image sensor; a tracking reliability evaluation portion for classifying the reliability of tracking by the tracking processing portion into a plurality of steps for evaluation, based on the output signal of the image sensor; and a display portion for displaying the frame image column. On a display screen, a tracking object icon corresponding to the object to be tracked and a level icon showing the evaluated reliability are displayed. Reliability is classified into a plurality of stages by the level icon and displayed.
