PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a printing strength in the case of printing by a multi-pass system. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet curing type inkjet printer prints an image by superposing a UV ink on the same line by a plurality of passes, and is equipped with a head unit 6 and a controlling part that carries out printing control. The head unit 6 is equipped with an inkjet head 11 for image, a UVLED 13 for half curing disposed rearward in a scanning direction A of the inkjet head 11 for image, an inkjet head 12 for backing disposed forward in a conveyance direction B of the inkjet head 11 for image, and a UVLED 14 for practical curing disposed rearward in the scanning direction A of the inkjet head 12 for backing.
