PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer instrument which creates a three-dimensional effect, is inexpensive, and has enhanced appearance. SOLUTION: This instrument includes a display system 2 being a dial plate and capable of emitting light freely, a rotation movement 3 arranged on the side of a viewer of the display system 2 and has a pointer shaft 31 extending out to the viewer side, a pointer 4 which is made of translucent material, is fixed to the pointer shaft 31, and produces light with light made incident from the light incident part 43 of the pointer formed in the direction of viewing of the movement 3, a light incident part 81 which makes light emitted by the display device 2 incident on the periphery side of the movement 3, and a light-transmitting body 8 of the pointer having a light emitting part 86 for emitting light to the incident part 43 of the pointer.
