<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that in performing a repetition test of a jam and a recovery confirmation test after maintenance for the jam is completed, when a serviceman performs the maintenance, the serviceman has to totally know a print setting for passing through a jam occurrence place, because it is necessary that the print setting for passing through the jam occurrence place is obtained, and in addition, has to perform a job, after print setting operation is performed whenever a test is performed. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus holds a table on which print setting conditions for allowing a recording paper to pass through the jam occurrence place are collected. When the jam occurs in the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus first obtains the detail information of the jam (a jam code, an occurrence date, etc.) and job attribute information (the print setting such as a paper size) where the jam occurs and produces a test job for allowing the recording paper to pass through the jam occurrence place, based on the obtained information and the table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
