PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To break a circuit safely by detecting an abnormal temperature in and around a battery inner portion of a accurately and by increasing the resistance of the circuit of the battery inner portion. SOLUTION: A flat plate PTC element which consists of a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte and increases the electric resistance according to the temperature rise is arranged as a circuit breaking mechanism between the positive electrode or the negative electrode and an electrode terminal. The flat plate PTC element is stored in an exterior of the battery contacting a battery element. The abnormal temperature can be detected accurately and the resistance of the circuit of the battery inner portion can be increased by arranging the PTC element contacting the battery element stored in the thin shape battery and the circuit can be cut off safely, therefore. |
