<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly keep an ink emulsified as specified on the surface of a printing plate and securely inhibit the generation of a water mark attributed to dampening water, with regard to a dampening water supply device, and a method using this device. <P>SOLUTION: This dampening water supply device comprises the following components: a dampening water supply roller 24 which is equipped in a separable and accessible manner to a rocking ink roller 13 which is arranged at an ink supply device and rocks in the axial direction, a first switching mechanism which switches the dampening water supply roller 24 and the rocking ink roller 13 between contact with each other and separation from each other, a rocking actuator which rocks the dampening water supply roller 24 in the axial direction, and a second switching mechanism which sets the dampening water supply roller 24 free from the rocking actuator, and rocks the former in a free-running manner to the rocking ink roller 13 when both rollers 13 and 24 are in contact with each other and makes the rocking actuator rock the dampening water supply roller 24 when both rollers 24 and 13 are separated from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
