<p>A fixing device, an image forming apparatus, a heat-fixing member for the fixing device, a cylindrical rotating member and a medium conveying device are provided to reduce the unnecessary consumption of the heat or power. A cylindrical rotating member has a based body which is elastically transformable in a cylindrical metal shape in the width direction of a medium crossing the conveyance direction of the medium. As the base body is rotated, a part of the base body(12) which contacts with the medium is elastically transformed. Therefore, the contact area which contacts with the medium is increased as the pressure is applied to the medium.</p> |
