<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect a torsion bar to a pinion shaft without deviation in an axial direction, and to attain the stability of a steering assist characteristic in a power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: In the power steering device 10, the pinion shaft 14 connected to a steering shaft 12 through the torsion bar 13 is supported on a gear box 11, and the device is provided with a rack and pinion mechanism in which a rack shaft 16 is engaged with the pinion shaft 14. A press-in part 51 formed at one end of the torsion bar 13 is pressed in to a press-in hole 52 formed at the pinion shaft 14, and a periphery of the press-in hole 52 of the pinion shaft 14 is caulked. A projection 53 of the pinion shaft 14 projected to an inner periphery of the press-in hole 52 is fixed to an annular groove 54 formed at the press-in part 51 of the torsion bar 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
