PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is desired to provide a MIMO detector with low complexity and for a wide range of SNR conditions. SOLUTION: The hybrid soft output MIMO detector 300 uses a QR decomposition detector 303 followed by a Markov chain Monte Carlo detector 305.
