<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent recorded data from being corrupted and a recording material from being damaged due to irradiation of coherent light when reproducing from a hologram recording medium by irradiation of the coherent light together with reference light. <P>SOLUTION: The hologram recording medium is provided with a recording layer on which information is recorded with interference fringes of signal light and reference light, a first reflection film formed on a lower layer side of the recording layer, and a gap layer formed between the recording layer and the first reflection film. By insertion of the gap layer, irradiated light can be defocused from the recording layer, the peak intensity of an optical spot by the coherent light is suppressed by just that much to prevent the recorded data from being corrupted and the recording material from being damaged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
