PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently assemble a belt for setting a saddle surface for wrapping a ring to the inside of the outermost peripheral part, when elements are arranged in an annular shape. SOLUTION: This belt assembling method is provided for assembling the belt 1 of binding a large number of plate piece-shaped elements 6 arranged in the annular shape by aligning an attitude by the ring 9. The respective elements 6 have a saddle surface 10 for arranging the ring 9 on the inner peripheral side of a part projecting to the outermost periphery in a state of being arranged in the annular shape. The elements are arranged in the annular shape of recessing at least a part to the inner peripheral side so that the outermost peripheral part of the elements 6 arranged in the annular shape becomes the shortest and the peripheral length of a circular arc becomes shorter than the peripheral length of the ring.
