METHOD OF NETWORK BASED VERTICAL HANDOVER BETWEEN HETEROGENEOUS NETWORKS

A method of vertical handover between heterogeneous networks is provided to realize a new network based vertical handover procedure for various moving scenario of mobile nod. A mobile node notifies to a home mobile access gateway that the measured link quality is the first threshold(Th1) or less(S3). When a resources check is completed in candidate networks, the home mobile access gateway determines the corresponding PoS as a hand over candidate(S7). The home mobile access gateway requests a hand over to the mobile node(S10). According to the request of the home mobile access gateway, the mobile node performs the hand over and connects to a candidate PoS(S11).
