A data processing apparatus for operating lens correction is provided to decode transmitted information within a short time while having small hardware size. A seed memory(20) stores encoded gain values comprising a seed matrix. A gain memory(40) stores decoded gain values comprising a grid matrix. A decoder(30) updates at least a part of the encoded gain values based on two gain values adjacent in each column direction among the encoded gain values before respectively decoding the decoded gain values from the encoded gain values.
