A driving device for a light-emitting display panel comprises a driver circuit for lighting and driving a display panel in which using light-emitting elements corresponding to different emission colors respectively as sub-pixels, one color display pixel is constituted by a set of these sub-pixels and in which multiple color display pixels are arranged in a surface direction. The driver circuit includes a control circuit (2a) for outputting display data to each of the color display pixels to be scanned and a conversion circuit (2c) for expanding driving data to perform light-up or light-out control on respective sub-pixels in the color display pixels to be scanned according to the display data outputted from the control circuit. A command indicating the expansion form of the driving data to perform the light-up or light-out control on the respective sub-pixels can be inputted to the conversion circuit.
