PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple fixing device for a wire screen by which the manufacturing is facilitated due to its simple structure, and the wire screen is easily and inexpensively prevented from falling from a sash frame without disturbing movements of a Shoji screen. SOLUTION: A pressing material for fixing the wire screen 7 to the sash frame 6 by means of pressing is fitted between an interior-side frame member 21 of a wire screen frame 12 and a locking wall 22 arranged on the sash frame 6 to face the interior-side frame member 21 at an interval so that the interior-side frame member 21 of the wire screen frame 12 can be pressed against a wire screen rail 15 of the sash frame 6 and the locking wall 22 can be pressed, in the state that a fitting-side section 23a having the width smaller than the width dimension between the locking wall 22 and the interior-side frame member 21 of the wire screen frame 12 facing each other, and a withdrawing-side section 23b having the width larger than the width dimension between the locking wall 22 and the interior-side frame member 21 of the wire screen frame 12 facing each other, are formed into a wedge-shape.
