A microbiological test device which comprises a detection chip, a transfer unit, a control unit and a magnet. The detection chip has a specimen container holding a specimen containing microorganisms, a capture particle solution container holding a capture particle solution containing magnetic particles, a microorganism-capturing section (131) capturing microorganisms, and a liquid channel in the inside thereof. The control unit controls the transfer unit so that, in the state where the magnetic force generated by the magnet (331) acts on the microorganism-capturing section (131), the capture particle solution (114) is supplied into the microorganism-capturing section (131); thus, a plural number of magnetic particles (214) are captured in the microorganism-capturing section (131) and held therein to form a filtration filter; and, in this state, the specimen (1231) is supplied into the microorganism-capturing section (131) to thereby pile up the microorganisms (175) in the specimen (1231) in one side of the filtration filter. According to this microbiological test device, various microorganisms can be easily concentrated.
