PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element whose luminescent brightness does not rapidly drop after a long-time use (light emission) and moreover whose drive voltage does not rise. SOLUTION: The organic EL element includes (A) a lower electrode 21, (B) a multilayer structure 23 comprising a light emitting layer consisting of an organic light emitting material, and (C) an upper electrode 22. A two-layered structure layer 41 comprising a charge injection layer 41A and a charge transporting layer 41B from bottom up is formed between the multilayer structure 23 and the upper electrode 22.
