<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly smooth film having high surface smoothness, to provide a method for producing the same, a protective layer formation sheet having high surface smoothness of a protective layer and an optical recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The highly smooth film is obtained by coating the surface of a film having projected defects with a solvent to dissolve a resin forming the film and drying the film. The protective layer formation sheet for an optical recording medium is obtained by laminating an adhesive layer to the surface of the highly smooth film not coated with the solvent, if necessary, coating the adhesive layer with the solvent of the highly smooth film, drying the film and laminating a hard coat layer to the dried surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
