A grab bar 10 with a removable decorative insert 36, the insert is supported by the front facing side 22 of the grab bar and may have a pattern, image, motif, or other cosmetic ornamentation. The insert 36 may be held in a first recess or groove 34 in the main body of the grab bar. There may be an additional recess 56 in the wall portion of the first recess, which holds a resilient member 44, such as a rubber strip, which deforms to hold the decorative insert 36 securely in the first recess 34. The grab bar may have end caps or covers 32 to seal each end, and an opening or aperture on its wall facing side 20 to facilitate removal of the insert by inserting a fastener 42 through the opening. |
