PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report information at the timing required for a driver in technology that information of a portion hardly seen by the driver of a vehicle is informed to the driver. SOLUTION: The safe travel assisting system specifies dead angle ranges 47, 48 of the driver at starting of the like of the vehicle 20, and sets a warning range 60 according to designation of the driver so as to completely include the specified dead angle. The system displays a photographed image by an on-vehicle camera on a head up display making the fact that the other vehicle is present at the set warning range 60 as a cause.
