PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition having excellent adhesiveness with components, excellent insulating property and heat resistance, and high Tg, and to provide an electric/electronic component subjected to an insulation treatment by using the epoxy composition. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition comprises (a) an epoxy resin, (b) an acid anhydride (c) a hardening accelerator comprising imidazole or its derivative, and (d) an acid anhydride-based silane coupling agent. The electric/electronic component has a base material which contains a carboxy group and is subjected to an insulation treatment by using the above epoxy resin composition.
