PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlamp device for a vehicle, allowing a pedestrian to properly recognize the existence of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In this headlamp device, each of a right first light emitting element 52R1 to a right fifth light emitting element 52R5 arranged on a right side of the vehicle forms a first additional light distribution pattern to a fifth additional light distribution pattern. Each of a left first light emitting element 52L1 to a left fifth light emitting element 52L5 arranged on a left side of the vehicle, forms the first additional light distribution pattern to the fifth additional light distribution pattern. A headlamp control part switches alternately turning ON/OFF of the right first light emitting element 52R1 and the left first light emitting element 52L1 forming the common first additional light distribution pattern. The headlamp control part switches alternately turning ON/OFF of the right fifth light emitting element 52R5 and the left fifth light emitting element 52L5 forming the common fifth additional light distribution pattern.
