A cosmetic composition for skin protection is provided to suppress cell membrane lipid peroxidation by extracting Carica papaya and Galla rhois and effectively removing superoxide. A cosmetic composition for skin protection comprises a mixture fermented extract of Carica papaya and Galla rhois as an active ingredient. A method for producing the mixture fermented extract of Carica papaya and Galla rhois comprises: a step of fermenting the mixture with Aspergillus oryzae to obtain fermentation; and a step of extracting the fermentation using a solvent. The solvent is selected among water, anhydrous or hydrous low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, acetone, ethylacetate, chloroform, 1,3-butyleneglycol, hexane and diethylether.
