PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an electronic paper display device comprises many members such as an electronic paper display layer, an active matrix drive electrode, a position sensor for handwriting input, a computer for information processing, a memory, and a power source, and is difficult to easily handle like paper and not easy to have large-screen and thin constitution. SOLUTION: The pen input electrophoretic display device comprises at least: a pen input device which includes a feed coil and a power unit and generates a magnetic field by supplying a current to the feed coil; and a display device. The pen input electrophoretic display device has an electrophoretic display medium which receives electric power from the pen input device-side without contacting to rewrite its display by: generating a current through electromagnetic induction from the magnetic field generated by the pen input device; rectifying the current into a positive or negative current by a rectifier; and supplying the current to an electrophoretic display element.
