FULLERENE DERIVATIVE, ITS SOLUTION AND MEMBRANE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple addition fullerene derivative having a hydrocarbon group having specific aromaticity as an addition substituent and a fullerene derivative membrane using the same which has high solubility in an ester solvent and excels in optical properties.

SOLUTION: The fullerene derivative has a partial structure of a fullerene skeleton represented by formula (I) wherein C1is bonded to hydrogen or any substituent; C6to C8are each independently bonded to an organic group having a structure represented by -Ar-(OH)n(wherein Ar is a hydrocarbon group having 8-18C aromaticity and n is an integer of 1-3); and all of C1to C10are carbons constituting the fullerene skeleton.
