The invention relates to a cash safe, and more specifically to a security safe for keeping cash, which cannot be opened and closed at will and which dispenses only an amount of money not more than the amount deposited, so as to keep the cash safe from a burglar who attempts to steal the money by force or from an employee who tries to steal the proceeds of sales.  These objects are achieved by the invention, comprising: a main body(10) forming a casing with a space defined therein; price input means(20), which is provided to one side of the main body(10) and to which the price of an item is input by a barcode reader(25) or a numeral input unit(22); cash deposit means(30), which is disposed about the price input means(20) and through which bills and coins are deposited; a cash reservoir(50), which is located inside the main body(10) and which accommodates the bills and coins deposited; cash dispensing means(40), which is provided to one side of the main body(10) and which dispenses the difference between the price of an item that is input by the barcode reader(25) or the numeral input unit(22) and the amount deposited or the change equivalent to the amount deposited; and control means(70), which is located inside the main body(10) and which controls the price input means(20), the cash deposit means(30), the cash reservoir(50) and the cash dispensing means(40).
