<p>Disclosed is a method for synthesizing an organic-inorganic composite material composed of an oxide of silicon and a metal, which includes a bond represented by M-O-M (wherein M's independently represent a silicon atom or a metal atom). The organic-inorganic composite material has an organic group bonded to at least a part of silicon atoms. The method is characterized by comprising a preparation step wherein a raw material solution is prepared by dissolving an organoalkoxysilane having one or more alkoxy groups and a silicon atom covalently bonded to an organic group and a metal compound containing a metal atom into a first solvent which is a polar solvent; a reaction step wherein an organic-inorganic composite material is synthesized by hydrolyzing and dehydration-condensing the organoalkoxysilane and the metal compound; and a removal step wherein a second solvent, which is incompatible with the solution after the reaction step, is added into the solution so that the organic-inorganic composite material is dissolved into the second solvent, and then the solution incompatible with the second solvent is removed. The organic-inorganic composite material can be easily collected by this method.</p> |
