A disc brake friction member assembly (1, 1A, 1B) is provided with: a torque receiving plate (17); an anchor plate (48) fixed to a rear surface of the torque receiving plate (17); a cut-and-erected portion (63) formed on the rear surface of the torque receiving plate (17) and having an abutment surface (61) along a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the brake torque is applied; and a cut-out portion (65) provided on the anchor plate (48). A friction member (5) is attached on a front side of the torque receiving member (17) and the torque receiving member (17) receives a brake torque applied to the friction member (5). The cut-and-erected portion (63) fits to the cut-out portion (48). The cut-out portion (65) receives the brake torque via the abutment surface (61).
